1/4 cup reduced-calorie margarine
3/4 cup granular sugar substitute
1 egg, or equivalent in egg substitute
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon apple pie spice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup seedless raisins
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 7-by-11-inch biscuit pan with butter-flavored cooking spray.
In a large bowl, cream margarine, sugar substitute and egg until mixture is light and fluffy, using a sturdy spoon.
Stir in applesauce. Add flour, baking soda, apple pie spice, and salt. Mix gently just to combine. Fold in raisins and walnuts.
Spread batter evenly into prepared pan. Bake for 24 to 26 minutes. Place pan on a wire rack and allow to cool completely. Cut into bars.
