Moldy Dinner Rolls
8 frozen dinner rolls
1 egg white
1 tablespoon water
green food coloring paste
Blood Clot Butter
1/2 butter, softened
1/3 cup honey
6 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
red food coloring paste
black food coloring paste
Thaw the dinner rolls and let rise as directed on package. Combine the egg white and water until blended. Add green food coloring as needed to get a "moldy" look. Brush on the dinner rolls before baking.
Bake as directed on package.
For Blood Clot Butter: With an electric mixer, beat the butter until fluffy. Beat in the honey until blended. Add red food color to get desired hue (hint: add red color first then add black to darken it further). Stir in the crumbled bacon to create the "clots".
Serve butter with dinner rolls.

The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

The blood clot butter looked horrific but was really amazingly good (reminded me of the honey butter you get at restaurants). For the moldy dinner rolls I just put a few drops of the green color so they weren't totally green just looked like they were starting to "mold".

Easy to make and hard not to get the recipe right. Had to start over with the blood clot butter because I used too much food coloring at first, so add slowly to get the desired color.
