Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

Turn your next spooky party into a hit with these hilarious mushroom eyeballs. Just bake, stuff with cream cheese, and top with olives. Easy and creepy.

under 30 minutes
ingredients
24 medium-to-large mushrooms
16 ounces cream cheese (can use flavored or blend in your favorite seasonings)
24 slices black olive
directions
Take mushrooms and remove the stems. Put them in a pan and bake (350 degrees F) just until they lose their crunch. (don't over cook or they will shrink and lose their water) Allow them to cool.
Place tops on pan so that the hole where the stem was connected is facing up. Fill the hole with a ball of cream cheese (you can add garlic and/or diced water chestnuts for flavor or crunch).
Put a single slice of black olive in the center of each ball. Use paprika to draw in veins radiating from the center.
