ingredients

1 cup milk
1 package (8 oz size) cream cheese, softened and cut in cubes
1 cup freshly shredded Cheddar cheese
1/3 cup freshly shredded Parmesan cheese
1/3 cup sour cream
1 bunch broccoli, cut in florets and steamed
2 cups bite-size pieces cooked chicken

directions

Heat a saucepan over medium heat. Add the cream cheese and milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until the cream cheese melts. Add the Cheddar and Parmesan and continue to stir until they are both melted. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the sour cream until blended.

Place half of the broccoli in the bottom of the crock pot. Top with half of the chicken. Pour half of the cheese sauce over the chicken. Repeat the layers ending with the remaining cheese sauce.

Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 4 hours or until heated through. Stir before serving.

If desired, serve over rice or pasta.

  1. not a cook REVIEW:

Don't cook this in a newer crock pot for the time listed. They cook differently. I'm assuming this recipe was written for the older models. Eithr that or cook it on warm instead because you are using already cooked chicken and you're making the sauce on the stove. I cooked it for 3 hours on low and it was excellent. I liked that it didn't have any canned soup in it!
