Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

ingredients
1 1/2 pound ground beef
1/4 cup minced onion
8 ounces tomato sauce
1 package spaghetti sauce mix
8 ounces sour cream
2 cups Mozzarella cheese
1 can (8 count size) crescent rolls
2 tablespoons melted butter
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
3 cups cooked pasta (your choice)
directions
Layer cooked pasta in the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch pan. Brown and drain the hamburger.
Add onion to meat and spread over pasta. Spread tomato sauce on meat layer and sprinkle with spaghetti mix. Spread sour cream over all and top with Mozzarella cheese.
Unroll crescent roll dough on top. Dribble with butter and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees F.
