Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

Great!! I used rotini instead of egg noodles. I also added a chopped green pepper, two cloves of garlic and used spagetti sauce (12oz). It was creamy and delicious. Altered the recipe as stated above, but will save this one and make it again.
