ingredients

1 pound ground beef
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup canned tomato soup
1/3 cup water
2 cups noodles, cooked al dente
1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar or Monterey Jack are favorites)

directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and onion and cook, stirring frequently, until the beef is cooked and the onion is soft. Drain off any excess grease.

Stir the oregano, salt, soup, water, and noodles into the skillet. Mix well.

Pour the ground beef mixture into a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the top.

Place the casserole in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the noodles are tender.

Serve hot.
