It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

These slow cooker chocolate raspberry brownies are absolutely decadent. Made from scratch using simple ingredients and cooked to perfection in canning jars in the slow cooker.

1/2 cup butter
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
2 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup seedless raspberry jam
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Generously grease 1-pint straight-sided wide-mouth canning jars (you'll need 2 jars for the standard recipe). Flour jars and set aside (3 1/2 quart or cooker to fit).
Melt butter and chocolate and stir in eggs, sugar, jam and vanilla. Beat lightly until just combined. Stir in flour and baking powder.
Pour batter into jars. Cover tightly with greased foil and place in slow cooker. Pour 1 cup water around jars. Cook on high for 3 to 3 1/2 hours until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool for 10 minutes, loosen and remove from jars. Cool, then slice and serve.

The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
What's the secret ingredient in these cakes? Pudding mix. It not only adds flavor but it gives the cake a richer, creamier texture. No one will know your secret ingredient!
