For a stronger flavor, marinate the chicken for longer periods in the refrigerator.

You can also freeze the chicken in the marinade. Thaw in the refrigerator then cook as desired.

Try different types of Italian dressings, such as creamy or balsamic.

You can scale up the ingredients to make a larger batch of the marinade if you need to marinate more chicken pieces.

tools needed

Zip-Top Plastic Bag: For combining the Italian dressing, oregano, cumin, and garlic with the chicken pieces for marinating. A plastic bag allows for easy mixing and ensures all pieces are evenly coated. Just make sure the bag doesn't have any holes or you might end up with a big mess in your fridge. You can also use any non-reactive container that allows the chicken to be fully covered in the marinade (such as a glass bowl or plastic container).

Grill, Oven, or Broiler: After marinating the chicken in the Italian dressing mixture, you'll need one of these cooking methods to cook the chicken. The choice is yours, depending on your preference and the equipment you have available.

Cooking Utensils: Depending on your cooking method of choice, you may need tongs for flipping the chicken on the grill or a baking sheet and oven mitts for baking the chicken in the oven. Make sure to use the appropriate tools for each cooking method to achieve optimal results.
