Beer makes batters better, meat more tender, and sauces more flavorful.

Broccoli and shrimp cooked in garlic and teriyaki is a great way to try out stir-frying. Once you've got the technique down, switch up the veggies and sauces to find your favorite.
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1 cup broccoli florets
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 pound medium (41-60 size or larger) shrimp, peeled, tail on or off as desired
2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
cooked rice
Heat the oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the broccoli and garlic to the wok. Cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes.
Add the shrimp and teriyaki sauce. Cook, stirring constantly, for 4-5 minutes or until the shrimp is cooked through and the broccoli is crisp-tender.
Serve the garlic shrimp stir-fry with fresh steamed rice or Asian-style noodles.
Just thaw it ahead of time and then add it after the broccoli has cooked for about 4 minutes. Stir fry until the shrimp is heated through.

I followed the basics, used raw shrimp and cooked it before beginning the recipe. I added a bunch of vegetables including baby corn, zucchini, mushrooms and scallions. Also used three cloves of garlic and minced that and added more teriyaki sauce to suit the vegetables and cooked them longer for about 6 minutes. Also steamed the broccoli beforehand and added it to the mixture when the shrimp was added. but other than that great base and add as you wish to make it special! (chestnuts would be perfect)
