Fun Food Holidays™
June is National Candy Month

Every culture has some form of sweet treat similar to candy. Candy's primary ingredient is sugar (of course, that's why it tastes so good!) and can be anything from a hard substance like rock candy, or soft like jellybeans, or covered in chocolate like candy bars.
Most holidays also feature a traditional or typical candy item. For example, the candy cane is usually only eaten at Christmas, as is the popular marshmallow Peeps during Easter.
Some candy is meant to be eaten as is while others are versatile enough to be used in recipes such as individual caramel candies or M&Ms®
Homemade candy can be fun to make and can often be healthier because you control the ingredients.
