Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

The hardest part about making this recipe was having to wait overnight for it! Baked it this morning and we all loved it. Just a note though it never says what to do with the buttered maple syrup so I assumed that's what you serve it with, hope that was right!

This is the greatest recipe ever. I make this every Hanukkah and Christmas. It is one of the biggest hits on the buffet table. I am asked each year if I'm making it since all family and friends really look forward to it. You will never find any thing this good in any gourmet restaurant. I have to hand out the recipe for once anyone eats it, they just have to make it again. Make it! You'll see!
