The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

ingredients
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
1 frozen puff pastry sheet, thawed
10 hot dogs, halved
directions
In a small bowl, combine egg and water together; set aside. Unfold pastry and cut into twenty, 1/2" strips. Wrap pastry strips around hot dogs, pressing gently to seal. Place about 2" apart on an ungreased baking sheet; brush with egg mixture. Bake at 400 degrees F for 15 minutes or until golden.
