2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon ground cloves
3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup margarine
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cup applesauce
1 1/2 cup raisins
1 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats


Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Coat baking sheet with cooking spray. Combine flour, cinnamon, soda, cloves, nutmeg, baking powder and salt.

In bowl with mixer at medium speed beat margarine with sugar until combined. Add egg; beat until fluffy. Reduce speed to low. Beat in flour mixture alternately with applesauce. Stir in raisins and oats. Batter will be soft.

Drop batter by teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto baking sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes. Cook on racks.

I liked the flavor, but I didn't like the texture that much - I think it was too smooth. I prefer a courser texture, so maybe I'll add more oatmeal next time.
