The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

ingredients
1/2 cup Kahlua
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/3 cup candied cherries, chopped
1/3 cup golden raisins, chopped
2 1/2 cups fine vanilla wafer crumbs
1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
1 cup pecans, finely chopped
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Optional Coatings
cocoa powder
powdered sugar
flaked coconut
chopped or ground nuts
directions
In a bowl, combine Kahlua, corn syrup, cherries and raisins. Add remaining ingredients and blend well.
Shape into small balls. Roll in desired coating. Cover and store in a cool, dark place.
