Tilapia is a quick-cooking fish that takes on the flavors it's cooked with. This recipe flavors it with Asian-style ingredients and gives it a little crunch with seasme seeds

4 (6 ounce size) tilapia fillets
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon dark sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
6 tablespoons sesame seeds
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Place fish in single layer in shallow baking dish. Drizzle with soy sauce and sesame oil; sprinkle with pepper. Let stand 10 minutes. Press sesame seeds onto both sides of fillets.
Heat vegetable oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add fish; cook 4 to 5 minutes or until golden brown and fish just begins to flake, turning once.

The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

We love tilapia & we love sesame. This? Not so much. Sesame needs to stick to fish. Mine didn't at least. I might try again and bake it. Put sesame on one side only. Flavors were good just not great.
The sesame seeds stuck to the fish just fine for us. Baking it should work just fine though too.

This is now one of our favorite fish recipes! The fish was light and flaky and the seasonings and sesame seeds add a ton of flavor. Serve with rice or stir-fried vegetables.
