2 bottles bbq sauce
hot dog buns

Combine weiners and bbq sauce in crockpot. Cover; cook on low for 8 hours. Slice hot dog buns into four pieces - so they can be used like miniature buns. Serve lil smokies with the mini buns or just serve with toothpicks.

I was just looking for a simple lil smokie recipe for the slowcooker when I found this one and read the idea for serving them in mini buns. You have no idea what a hit that was! Yes, it's a novelty but it seemed like everyone enjoyed it that much more with how cute they were!
