Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

Nutritional data has not been calculated yet.Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
A can of cream of mushroom soup can be a real dinner saver. It works great in casseroles and can turn into a sauce or gravy in a pinch.

I used half as much cayenne only because I didn't want this overwhelmingly hot. Turned out so good! I don't think you need 3 tablespoons of cayenne that's for sure.
Nasty...recipe calls for two much cayenne which turns the sauce into a paste. Had to water it down. Just not a good recipe.
The crockpot should create steam while cooking which will make it more of a sauce and less of a paste. Did you cook it in a crockpot? If so, for how long?
