Pizza night is always a favorite, especially when you have great tasting pizza from some of the most popular restaurants.

The flavor of pecan pie in a tasty popcorn snack. Made with popcorn, pecans, maple syrup, butter, and brown sugar.

1/2 cup maple syrup
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
7 cups popped popcorn
3/4 cup chopped pecans
Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine the maple syrup and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes.
Stir the butter and salt into the maple syrup mixture. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until the syrup has thickened.
Place the popcorn and pecans in a large bowl. Drizzle with the maple mixture, tossing the popcorn to coat it thoroughly.
Spread the popcorn out on the baking sheet. Place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes, stirring once or twice during the cooking time. Remove the popcorn from the oven and let cool. Store the popcorn in an airtight container.

This wasn't as sweet as caramel corn, which is probably what I liked most about the recipe. I would use pecan halves next time or at least less chopped up pecans. They didn't adhere to the popcorn so they were hard to eat as part of the snack.
