It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

Ever tried garlic salt on popcorn? Better than regular salt, right? To kick your 'corn up still another notch, try adding some fiery wasabi powder into the mix. It adds a unique flavor and this version is way, way healthier than microwave popcorn bags.

1 teaspoon wasabi powder, or to taste
1 teaspoon fine sea salt
2 quarts plain, warm, freshly popped popcorn
Combine the wasabi powder and salt in a small bowl and mix well.
Place the popcorn in a large bowl and sprinkle with the wasabi-salt mixture as desired. Toss to coat the popcorn evenly.
Serve immediately and store any leftovers in an airtight container.

This was yummy, but not nearly as flavorful as I would like. I wsa looking for the popcorn version of the wasabi almonds you can buy, and this isn't it. I added a sprinkling of soy sauce and an extra 1/2 tsp of wasabi powder and I can still barely taste the wasabi. It's still good, though- just not what I was looking for.
