Angel hair pasta is mixed with broccoli, shrimp, and a creamy pesto sauce.
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, divided
1 1/2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1 1/2 tablespoon basil pesto
1 1/2 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
6 cloves garlic, minced, divided
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1 splash Worcestershire sauce
hot sauce, to taste
1 pound raw jumbo shrimp, peeled, deveined
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups broccoli florets, cooked
1 1/2 cup cooked angel hair pasta
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt half the butter; stir in flour; cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes.
Slowly whisk milk and cream into pan; simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Stir pesto, parsley, half the minced garlic, the Parmesan, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce into saucepan; reduce heat to low and keep warm.
In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt remaining butter; add shrimp and remaining minced garlic; sprinkle evenly with salt, and saute for 5 minutes or until shrimp are pink; do not overcook.
Toss shrimp, broccoli, and pasta together and pour sauce over top.

Thank you for sharing the recipe. I tried it yesterday for my daughterââ¬â¢s seafood theme birthday dinner. It turned out great!!! I did not change a thing. I wish that I could really rate the recipe a 100 on a scale of 1-10.

This was really really good. I did change the milk to cream ratio....I cup of 2% and 1 cup of cream. I also used artichokes instead of broccoli. Loved it.

This rocks! I've made it about 6 times now. I substituted a can of 2%evaporated milk for the milk and cream, steamed the broccoli for 3 minutes then added it to the saute pan with the shrimp and garlic.

I used 1lb. of fettuccine instead of angel hair, which was great. The broccoli should be steamed or boiled before. Another batch of sauce should be made.
