No-Cook Chocolate And Cream Cheese Fudge Truffles
- add review
- #77241
30-60 minutes
ingredients
1 package (8 ounce size) cream cheese, at room temperature
1 package (6 ounce size) semisweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
1 cup chopped toasted walnuts
directions
Beat cream cheese until light and fluffy.
Melt chocolate in the top of a double boiler over hot, not boiling water and add it to the cream cheese. Beat until blended. Add the remaining ingredients and beat until blended.
Line a shallow 6" x 10" baking pan with plastic wrap. Spread the fudge in the pan. Cover with another sheet of plastic wrap and press down to make fudge even thickness.
Refrigerate until firm. Cut into squares and place in individual bon bon liners.
NOTE: This is not a very sweet fudge, but very creamy. It has a rather interesting taste. You can add a thin layer of chopped nuts on top as a variation. If you like a bittersweet taste, then dust the fudge with unsweetened cocoa.
