Chicken Penne With Tomato Garlic Cream Sauce

ingredients
1 pound penne pasta
2 tablespoons butter
1 onion, sliced
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 pounds roma tomatoes, chopped
OR
1 can (28 ounce size) diced tomatoes, drained
2 cups whipping cream or half and half
1 cup frozen peas
1/2 teaspoon salt
black pepper
2 pounds chicken, cooked and shredded
directions
Prepare pasta according to directions until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 c. liquid.
Saute onion and red pepper in butter in skillet 3 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook 1 minute. Stir in tomatoes, cream and pasta liquid. Cook on high for 4 minutes until slightly reduced. Stir in peas, salt, pepper, pasta and chicken. Serve

I made this about a month ago and as far as I'm concerned it is the bomb if I had a restraunt I would serve it it was fantastic
