- #20804

2-5 hrs
ingredients
1 package (12 ounce size) macaroni
2 tablespoons oil
1 1/2 pound ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 can (6 ounce size) tomato paste
3/4 cup water
2 tablespoons sherry
1 can (10.75 ounce size) tomato soup
1 teaspoon dried oregano
salt and pepper
1 cup grated cheddar or parmesan cheese
directions
Grease the inside of the crock pot.
Cook the pasta to al dente as directed on the package. Drain well. Toss the cooked pasta with the oil and place in the crock pot.
While the pasta is cooking, add the beef, onion, and celery to a large skillet and cook, stirring, over medium-high heat until the beef is browned. Drain off any excess grease. Add the beef mixture to the crock pot.
In a bowl, combine the tomato paste, water, sherry, and tomato soup. Whisk well to mix. Pour into the crock pot. Add the oregano and salt and pepper as desired. Stir the mixture well.
Top the beef and macaroni mixture with the shredded cheese. Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 3-4 hours or until heated through and the cheese is melted.
