1/2 cup chopped onion 2 tablespoons oil 1/2 pound ground beef 1 can (28 ounce size) tomatoes 1 can (8 ounce size) tomato sauce 1/4 cup parsley 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon oregano 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 8 ounces elbow or shell macaroni 1 cup grated cheese

Saute onion in oil. Add beef and brown. Stir tomatoes, parsley, salt, oregano and garlic powder and simmer approximately 2 minutes.
Meanwhile, add 1 tablespoon salt to water and boil macaroni. Cook 6-7 minutes and drain.
In 2-quart casserole dish, mix macaroni and 1/2 cup grated cheese. Stir in sauce. Place remaining cheese on top and bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
