These popular cheese and garlic biscuits from Red Lobster are perfectly easy to make and delicious to eat. Use Bisquick or your favorite baking mix (or make your own) and freshly grated cheddar cheese for best results.

2 cups Bisquick baking mix
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup melted butter
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

directions

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Have an ungreased baking sheet ready.

In a large bowl, beat together the baking mix, milk, and cheese until the mixture forms a soft dough.

Drop the dough in about 1/4-cup size dollops onto the ungreased baking sheet. Do not place them too close together.

Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake at 450 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.

Mix together the melted butter and garlic powder. Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Brush the tops of the biscuits with the garlic butter then serve while they are still warm.

Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature or up to 2 days.

    I now have tried this recipe twice and both times it was great. Needed a bit more milk to make it just right like a splash more. Melted butter with fresh garlic the first needed something more.     I'm with everyone else, these are just like RL! The only thing I didn't do was "beat vigorously", I just mixed it until fully mixed. I was afraid that overbeating it would make the biscuits too dense. I used real butter not margarine and fresh garlic as recommended (simmered it in the butter over very low heat before basting the biscuits). Super easy to make too and goes with any meal. Has anyone tried freezing these? I'm wondering how to best reheat them (I think they'll freeze fine just not sure how to reheat). Would I brush the butter on after reheating?

    This was a GOD-AWFUL RECIPE!! 1.) the biscuits tasted nothing like the red lobster biscuits. They didn't have the flavor or fluffy texture that red lobster biscuits had.     This is an AWSOME Red Lobster Biscuit recipe! My boyfriend LOVES them. After making them once I made them about three times in one weekend for my family and my boyfriend. This is a family favorite now! I recomend using garlic salt with the butter for brushing the tops of the biscuits. You can use about 1/4 of a teaspoon of both in the 1/4 cup of butter.     Went to Red Lobster last night have been eating these biscuits for years from Bisquick. Red Lobsters are different, ask waiter, was told there was oyster sauce in the butter topping will try that next time.

    These are really tasty,(4 1\2 stars)! My batch just came out of the oven. They are very light and flaky, but are different from the Red Lobster biscuits. The biscuits from Red Lobster are more crumbly, but the flavor is very similar. I added dill (1\2 tsp) to the butter sauce and a sprinkle to the dough. I may try them again with whole wheat flour, or just as is. Thanks for the recipe, they are as delicious as they are fattening!

    hmmm..i work at red lobster too and whenever i get a chance i sneak one of these bad boys but its only fair since i don't ever break. The recipe is somewhat close and yes they do mix a garlic powder package that mite or mite not include garlic powder, parm cheese and parsley into some rich imatation butter and slather that goodness on them suckers after they come out the oven. the biscuit mix is also premixed so only water and cheese is added but by all means use milk and as much cheese as heart desires

    These are wonderful!! I actually make the biscuits put them on a cookie sheet with wax paper then freeze them. Once frozen I put them in a zip lock bag and now my family has homemade biscuits even when I forget to start the bread maker earlier in the day.     i work at red lobster, and i can tell you that, it's not a package mix on top of the biscuits. it's just butter sauce. :X (those things are terribly bad for you. eating 1 biscuit is equivalant to eating a snickers bar.)

    The actual butter topping is a pkg mix that does contain the dried parsley which is dumped in to a container of the the imitation butter. Other that milk isnt used its water. They are similar though happy baking

    What about the little green seasoning? There's no mention of it and I definitely saw it the last time I ate the biscuits at Red Lobster. I'm guessing it's a small amount of very finely chopped parsley added to the dough, maybe even dried parsley......

    These are great but you need to make some minor adjustments if you want them to really taste like the red lobster biscuits. I used 3 cups of shredded cheese, believe me the more the cheese the better they taste, plus I added some garlic salt to the mix, as well as garlic salt in the butter mixture, the garlic salt is much better than the powder as it doesnt leave that bitterness garlic powder can. sprinkle some cheese on top as well. And keep a close eye! they cook quickly.
