Here's a salsa that's as easy as it is tasty. It's all blending and no chopping, so it's ideal for making a big batch for parties or game days.
1 1/2 tablespoon chopped jalapenos (canned or fresh)
1/4 cup diced onion
1 can (14.5 ounce size) diced tomatoes with green chiles
1 can (14.5 ounce size) whole peeled tomatoes, undrained
3/4 teaspoon garlic salt, to taste
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin, or to taste
1/4 teaspoon sugar, to taste
Combine the jalapenos and onion in a food processor. Pulse process for 2-3 seconds.
Add the diced tomatoes, whole tomatoes, garlic salt, cumin, and sugar. Pulse process until the salsa is mixed but not pureed. Adjust the seasoning if needed.
Transfer the salsa to a covered container and chill for 1-2 hours before serving.
Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.

I was excited to try this because my husband loves copycat recipes. Thanks for the nice surprise, we love your recipe! I added a small 1/8 cup of fresh, chopped cilantro and a shake or 2 of red hot pepper. Let it chill 2 hrs. to marry the flavors and its perfect!

This salsa is right on the mark...you can vary it a bit to your particular taste..I know Chili's salsa can vary in hotness from time to time, but the magic ingredient here is cumin...try it out and im sure you will agree.

Its pretty fri**ing good but it needs a few tweaks, just add like a table spoon of salt, more jalapenos and 2 cloves of garlic, than it is a 15 out of 10!!!

Just FYI. Do NOT stick your face in the blender after mincing the onions and japs. You will burn your eyes. Trust me. I just did it. I am not too swift in the kitchen.

If you stick to the ingrediants it tastes a lot like chili's. This is wonderful because they have the only salsa I like. Wish I could find super thin tortilla chips because I think that would be the key to making it taste more like the ones at chili's.

My family loved this salsa, especially my husband. It tastes almost like the one from chili's. I used pickled jalapenos though. I recommend this recipe very highly.

I have made this recipe several times and it tastes exactly like the Chili's salsa. I have eaten at Chili's for 20 years and am thrilled that I now have their salsa! Stick to the exact ingredients and make sure you follow the directions exactly to get the right flavor.

My family LOVES this sauce...I have to double the recipe just to keep them in sauce for 24 hours!

I made this recipe twice and both times it was not very tasteful. Both times tasted like there was way too much onion, 2nd time I decreased the amount of onion, but still felt it tasted that onion overpowered it. It is nothing like Chili's salsa. Is it perhaps because I use real jalapenos that I dice? Not sure what 'canned' jalapenos are anyways. My local grocery store pointed me to the ones in produce.
Most salsa recipes call for onion. And this only has 1/4 cup. Did you alter anything else that could affect the taste? Using fresh jalapenos wouldn't really affect it (that would mostly be a texture difference).

Excellent. Simply because of the simplicity of the cans. I'm tired of roasting tomatoes and peppers for a wihle so this recipe is right on for me and the kids. A little more cumin, salt, and garlic made this recipe perfect for even my picky 4yo.

Great salsa. I didn't add the cumin but replaced it with cilantro. Thought not exactly like Chili's salsa, it is very good and the entire family liked it!

pretty good, considering the whole recipe is canned tomatoes and I even used frozen diced onions. My husband loved it. It doesn't taste like Chile's Grill & Bar salsa. I wish I could find a true copycat recipe for Chile's salsa. It was the first salsa I ever made. My husband wanted me to bring some over for his family to try. The girls age 4 & 8 loved it too.
