Belle's Bayou Bounty Shrimp Corn Soup

ingredients
3 tablespoons butter
2 chopped onions
2 pounds cleaned shrimp
1 green bell pepper
2 tablespoons flour
6 ears corn, cut
3 tomatoes
8 cups water or stock
salt and pepper
directions
Brown flour in melted butter, add onions, pepper, corn and cook slowly for about 10 minutes.
Add shrimp, tomatoes and water (or stock). Cook slowly for about 90 minutes.
