A good Cajun seasoning is critical to have on hand for rubbing down seafood or for adding a bit of kick to soups, stews, and gumbo.

4 teaspoons salt
4 teaspoons paprika
3 teaspoons garlic powder
3 teaspoons fresh ground black pepper
2 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
1 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.

Not too salty. It's a seasoning blend - worked great.
