Applebee's Pico de Gallo

Pico de gallo is an absolute must for Mexican night. Tomatoes, onion, jalapeno and cilantro is how Applebee's does it. Great on tortilla chips, tacos, burritos, you name it.

ingredients

3 large tomatoes, diced
1 large onion, diced
2 tablespoons diced jalapenos
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon white vinegar

directions

Combine the tomatoes, onion, jalapenos, and cilantro in a large bowl. Sprinkle with the salt, pepper, garlic powder, olive oil, and vinegar. Toss gently to combine.

Cover the bowl and let sit for 6-8 hours at room temperature before serving.

    I used to work at applebees as a prep cook and make 5lbs or more or this a day. The only thing is that it is red onions that are used.
