Jalapeno Spinach

ingredients
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup butter
1 package (8 ounce size) cream cheese, cut into cubes
2 packages (10 ounce size) frozen chopped spinach
1 teaspoon chopped jalapeno pepper
1 cup fresh bread crumbs
1/4 cup butter, melted
directions
Saute onion in 1/2 cup butter in a large skillet until tender. Add cream cheese, stirring until melted. Remove from heat.
Cook spinach according to package directions, then drain. Add spinach and jalapeno pepper to onion mixture, blending well.
Spoon spinach mixture into a greased 1-quart baking dish. Combine bread crumbs and 1/4 cup melted butter in a bowl. Sprinkle over the top.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until heated through.
