It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

2 pounds ribs, parboiled
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup applesauce
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
In a heavy saucepan, mix applesauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic power and cinnamon. Over medium-high heat, bring the sauce to the boiling point and continue boiling for one to two minutes.
Place parboiled ribs in an ovenproof dish and brush liberally with the sauce. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees F. Turn ribs and brush underside with remaining sauce. Continue baking for 45 minutes.

I like a sweeter sauce on ribs but this was just a little too sweet maybe. The ribs were done perfectly though!
