Slow Cooker Burgundy Venison

ingredients
2 pounds venison, cubed
1/2 cup burgundy wine
1 can (4 ounce size) sliced mushrooms
1 can (10.75 ounce size) cream of mushroom soup
1 envelope (1 ounce size) dry onion soup mix
directions
Place the venison in the crock pot.
Combine the wine, mushrooms, mushroom soup, and onion soup mix until well blended. Pour over the venison.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 8 hours or until the venison is tender. Serve the venison and sauce over rice or pasta.

1st time, I did cook this all day ~ 9 hours.. it reduced the sauce too much and it became to concentrated. It was still good. I served over rice. 2nd time (work in process) I am going for ~ 6 hours on low and will serve over mashed potatoes, I also browned the meat first and added a little cayenne.
