This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.

You don't have to be a pit master to cook up an amazing brisket anymore. This slow cooker recipe with cola, Worcestershire, and onions will have you converted the first time you make it.
3/4 cup cola
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 medium onions, chopped
1 1/2 pound beef roast or brisket
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons butter
In a bowl, combine the cola, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, garlic, beef bouillon granules, dry mustard powder, chili powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to combine. Set aside 1/2 cup of the mixture for the sauce.
Place the onions in the bottom of the crock pot. Cut the meat to fit the crock pot if necessary and place the meat on top of the onions. Pour the cola mixture over the meat. Cover and cook on low heat for 10 hours or on high heat for 5 hours, or until the meat is tender (cook time may vary by crock pot).
For the sauce, combine the reserved cola mixture, ketchup, and butter in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat until it simmers, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and let cool.
Remove the meat from the crock pot and shred with two forks. Return the meat to the crock pot if not serving immediately.
Serve the shredded beef on buns or warmed tortillas with the sauce, as desired.

I added honey and a little braising liquid to final sauce. Then I cooked it down about 20 minutes to thicken.

Loved it!! I made it last year and couldn't remember where I got it. It took some time to find again. I put the recipe in a safe and secure place now. Thank you so much!!! PS use the real the real coke.

Brisket is taken very seriously here in Texas. Cooking it in the crock pot is sort of blasphemy depending on who you ask. But, I had to try it. Don't tell my Texas foodie friends, but this way is SO much better than the other ways I've tried it. WOW! Great flavor, super tender. This Texan is impressed!

I made this and it was a delicious, tasty meal. The flavor was superb, not overwhelming for the beef. No knife required here, it just fell apart! So tender and juicy. No leftovers...so yummy it was G-O-N-E!!

Made this tonight for my family--teenagers, middle age and 84 year old Dad. Everyone loved it! I made it exactly by the recipe is written. The sauce has just enough zip for terrific flavor but not too spicy for those that can't tolerate it. We're looking forward to the leftovers! I used a 4 1/2 lb. brisket so I tripled the sauce and it was a perfect amount. Made the mistake of putting the shredded meat back into the crock pot to keep hot until serving but the juices made the buns too soggy. I drained the meat well for second helpings and, even with added sauce (thicker than juices), the buns held up well. The meat was so tender and flavorful! This recipe will be made again and again as it is a new family favorite. It's easy to put together and smells incredible while cooking. Try it! You'll be "WOW-d" too!

I just bought a crock pot and this was the first dish that I cooked in it. The brisket was amazing and so easy to make. The sauce was unbelievable - sooooo delicious! I would recommend doubling or tripling the sauce recipe so there is enough for leftovers.

This is my go-to brisket recipe; Hubby and I both love it! I cut the onion into rings, top the brisket with the caramelized onion and the sauce and serve it on a challah roll - it's heavenly! :) In my experience, though, the sauce goes a long way on the sandwich. I usually halve that part of the recipe and always throw out extras.

Wonderful dish and easy to prepare. I marinated the brisket overnight in Pepsi, then pan-seared it before putting it in the crockpot. Added baby carrots to the dish as well to cook with the rest. Delightful!
