Pan-Seared Halibut Steaks with Lemon Zest

ingredients
4 halibut steaks, about 5 ounces each
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon lemon zest
directions
Season the halibut steaks with salt, pepper and lemon zest. Then drizzle with olive oil.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Place a saute pan large enough to accommodate all the steaks over medium-high heat. Add the halibut and lower the heat to medium.
Sear the steaks for about 3 minutes per side and then place in the hot oven to finish cooking for about 5 to 6 minutes depending on the thickness of the fish.
