Beer makes batters better, meat more tender, and sauces more flavorful.

A delicious way to cook halibut. Thick halibut steaks are oven-roasted with a ginger, sesame oil, and soy sauce mixture. They turn out very tender and flavorful using this method. If you use thinner halibut fillets then adjust the cooking time as needed.

1 piece (2 inch size) peeled fresh ginger root, minced
2 tablespoons spicy or regular toasted sesame oil
2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon garlic oil
1 fresh lemon, juiced
1 1/4 pound halibut steaks (1 inch thick)
black pepper, to taste
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Mix in a small bowl the ginger, sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic oil and fresh lemon juice.
Place the halibut steaks in a roasting pan. Spoon the ginger-soy mixture evenly atop the halibut steaks, then season to taste with black pepper.
Roast halibut at 425 degrees F for about 8 to 9 minutes; the meat should be opaque when done. If desired, squeeze more lemon juice atop the halibut and serve immediately.

It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).
Keeping a can of frozen orange juice concentrate in the freezer means you can make more than just orange juice. Try it in a variety of orange-flavored recipes.

Delicious. The same Weight Watchers recipe is equally as good.
