Fruit Ketchup (Plum Sauce) Recipe

Ingredients:
6 plums, pureed
OR
3 fresh peaches or nectarines, pureed
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1 1/2 tsps ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground mace or nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon salt
Directions:
For Microwave: In 2 quart glass measure, combine all ingredients. Cover with plastic wrap, venting one corner. Microwave on high (100%) for 10 to 12 minutes or until, slightly thickened, stirring every 4 minutes.
Chill. Store up to 2 weeks in refrigerator.
For stove top: In medium non-aluminum saucepan, combine all. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes or until mixture is reduced to 2 cups.
