ingredients

4 potatoes, sliced lengthwise (peeled if desired)
1 medium onion, chopped
4 ounces cheddar cheese, grated
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 tablespoon cold butter

directions

Lightly grease the inside of the crock pot. Place layers of potatoes, onion, cheese, and bacon in the crock pot repeating the layers as needed to use all the ingredients. Cut the butter into bits and scatter it over the top.

Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 6 hours or until the potatoes and onions are tender. Serve hot.

    I wasn't sure if I should peel the potatoes or not but I did. I added some chopped green onions too for color.
