ingredients

1 can (16 ounce size) jellied cranberry sauce
1 tablespoon grated orange peel
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup heavy cream, whipped
OR
1 package (8 ounce size) Cool Whip

directions

Mix together the first three ingredients with a whisk or fork. Add whipped cream or cool whip.

Fill parfait or dessert dishes. Chill until set. Garnish with whipped cream and orange slice. May also be used at room temperature as a fruit dip.

    Basically a creamy version of cranberry sauce. Use fat free or sugar free cool whip for a lower calorie version. Can also use Grand Marnier in place of the almond extract.
