Beer makes batters better, meat more tender, and sauces more flavorful.

This dessert is leagues better than packaged pudding and almost as easy to make.

1 cup evaporated milk
6 ounces chocolate chips
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a saucepan, heat the evaporated milk over medium-high heat until it is at a strong simmer (not quite boiling).
Place the chocolate chips, sugar, and vanilla extract in a blender or food processor.
Carefully pour the hot evaporated milk over the chocolate. Cover the blender or food processor and pulse until the mixture is well blended and smooth.
Scrape the pudding from the container and into a bowl or individual dessert dishes.
Chill for several hours until set.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
