ingredients
4 large eggs
1 1/2 cup sugar
OR
1 cup molasses
1 pinch salt
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons cornmeal
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon fresh shaved nutmeg
1 uncooked, single-crust pie pastry
directions
Break eggs into a bowl and beat well. Beat in sugar. If you haven't got sugar, use the molasses. Then beat in a salt, milk, and cornmeal. Add vanilla and nutmeg.
Pour into an uncooked pie dough and bake in an oven preheated to 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes. Let cool.
