Country Molasses Pie Recipe

Ingredients:
***crumbs***
1 tablespoon Butter
3/4 cup Flour
1/2 cup Sugar
***filling***
1/4 cup Water, boiling
1/4 cup Molasses
1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
1 pie pastry
Directions:
Mix the crumb ingredients together, using the hands, and pinching mixture until very fine. Filling: Add the water to the molasses and soda and beat until this is foamy and rises.
Pour this into a pie pan lined with pastry (a deep pan is preferable) and taking a spoon, mix the crumbs well into the molasses filling. Bake at 325 F for 30 minutes.
