Chess Pie Recipe

Ingredients:
1/3 cup butter
1 3/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons top milk (cream)
3 beaten eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 dash nutmeg
1 pie crust (9 inch)
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter. Add milk, eggs, vanilla and a dash of nutmeg. Pour into pie shell. Bake (350 degree F.) for 45 min.or until brown.
Custard test: Should be candy on top, custard beneath like a pecanless pecan pie.
