The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

1 package yellow cake mix
3 ounces vanilla pudding mix
1/4 cup bourbon
4 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
Glaze
1/2 teaspoon melted butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup bourbon
directions
Beat all ingredients together well. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 50 to 60 minutes or until done.
Poke holes in warm cake and pour glaze over. Wait 1 hour before removing cake from pan.
GLAZE: Combine glaze ingredients.
