Ingredients:
4 teaspoons olive oil
3 red onions, halved and cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices
3 yellow onions, halved and sliced 1/4-inch-thick slices
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried sage leaves, crumbled
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 pound purchased pizza dough
1/4 cup no-salt-added tomato paste
3 tablespoons water
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:

In a large nonstick skillet, heat half of the oil over moderate heat. Add the onions and garlic, and sprinkle with the sugar and salt. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, for 7 minutes or until the onions are soft. Uncover and cook, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Stir in the sage and pepper.

Preheat the oven to 500 degrees.

Spray a 15 x 10-inch baking sheet with sides with nonstick cooking spray. Pat the dough into the prepared pan. With your fingers, make several indentations in the top of the dough. Cover loosely and let stand for 15 minutes.

In a small bowl, stir together the tomato paste, water, and the remaining oil. Brush the mixture over the dough and bake on the lowest shelf for 10 minutes. Spread the onion mixture on top, sprinkle with the Parmesan, and bake for 7 minutes or until the dough is crisp and the onions are piping hot.
