An easy and delicious side dish. The carrots are cooked in a savory basil and orange sauce until they are tender and flavorful. This is a great way to get your kids to eat their veggies.
1 cup orange juice
1 cup water
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 pound baby carrots or thin, peeled carrots
Combine the orange juice, water, and dried basil in the crock pot. Stir well to mix.
Add the carrots and stir to completely coat in the liquid.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the carrots are tender.
Remove the carrots from the crock pot with a slotted spoon and serve hot.
