Grilled String Beans

ingredients
12 ounces string beans
1 quart water, for blanching
1 pinch kosher salt
1 quart water, for ice bath

directions
Bring water and salt to a boil in a 1 1/2 quart sauce pan. Add green beans and boil for 2 to 3 minutes or until slightly softened. Drain beans.
Add ice to second quart of water, then add beans.
Immediately prior to serving, use an indoor grill to grill beans until heated through and marked by the grill.
