Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
Ranking #1 in nearly every "favorite cookie" poll, the chocolate chip cookie is pretty much the go-to cookie of choice for both kids and grownups alike.

I love these they taste so good. I first made them for my home ec class, and they loved them too. You might want to cook them longer than suggested, but they are really good.

I tried this recipe and wondered if something was left out in the directions. Do you think it is possible they should have been placed in a covered casserole? I baked them for the time suggested but the fresh beans were very hard, not cooked. Or should the beans have been steamed first?
