Green Beans in Swiss Cheese Sauce

ingredients
1 1/2 pound fresh green beans
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
3 tablespoons flour
1/8 teaspoon thyme
1/8 teaspoon marjoram
salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup milk
1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
1/2 cup sherry
directions
Steam green beans until tender. Saute onion and mushrooms in butter, add flour, seasonings and milk, cook until thickened. Stir in half of the cheese. Remove from heat and add the steamed beans. Pour into a shallow casserole and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 400F. for 25-30 minutes or until done.
