Greek-Style String Beans

ingredients
2 pounds string beans
1 cup olive oil
1 can (8 ounce size) tomato sauce
3 fresh tomatoes
3 large onions, chopped
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1 cup water, or more as needed
parsley, to taste
oregano, to taste
garlic powder, to taste
mint leaves, to taste
directions
Cut off ends of beans and wash in cold water. Cut into pieces or slice lengthwise.
Saute onions in oil. Add string beans and all other ingredients. Add enough water to cook string beans through. Taste for desired texture and serve.
